THE WELSH BEAGLE CLUB
In December 1968 a meeting of Beagle enthusiasts took place in Carmarthen and is recognised as the founding of the Welsh Beagle Club. Kennel Club recognition came in 1969 and the Club held its inaugural Open show the same year. Best In Show was Raimex Wager owned by Mrs Diana Brown who still exhibits today and is indeed our Patron. The Club achieved Championship status in 1972. From the late 70’s Mrs Pat Norman (Norvane) was Hon Secretary before handing over to the current Secretary, Lyn Mitchell, in 1996. The Club holds two shows yearly, an Open show in the Spring and a Championship show in the Autumn.

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Annual General Meeting will be held at Bridgend recreation Centre (Bowls Committee Room) on Monday 5th March 2012 at 7.30pm. Nominations for Officers and Committee are invited. Our constitution allows us to have three Committee members non-resident in Wales.
Officers Mr P Higgins (Chairman) Mrs LM Mitchell (Secretary) are wiklling to seek re0electin and do not require nomating or seconding. Mrs M Hourihane (Treasurer) will be retiring thereby creating a vacancy for Treasurer.
Committee - Ther are 7 vacancies. Mr L & Mrs Lm Mitchell are due to retire but are willing to seek re-election. Nominations duly proposed and seconded with the written consent of the nominee, all of whom are fully paid members of teh Welsh Beagle Club, should reach the Hon. Secretary by 20th February 2012.
Any motions for the Agenda should be writing, duly proposed and seconded, and should reach the Hon Sec by 20th February 2012. The balance sheet will be available at the meeting and also at the Open show.
